La televisión estatal mostró además tomas de la reciente visita de Kim a una unidad de tanques ligada por lazos familiares e históricos, en la que habló con los soldados e inspeccionó el material como lo hicieran su padre y su abuelo.
Su padre encabezó el país durante más de 17 años, tras la muerte de su propio padre y fundador de Corea del Norte, Kim Il Sung.
Los vecinos de Corea del Norte y Estados Unidos siguen atentamente la subida al poder de Kim en medio de la incertidumbre sobre cómo encarará el país un cambio de liderazgo en momentos en que se negocia el programa nuclear del país comunista.
Corea del Norte ha afianzado la posición de Kim Jong Un como líder.
Los soldados le vitorearon y corearon su nombre en el primer viaje en solitario de Kim para aportar "asesoramiento sobre el terreno" a la tropa, el primer documental oficial del nuevo líder que ha transmitido la televisión norcoreana.
La campaña de sucesión para dar el poder a Kim fue acelerada desde que Kim Jong Il falleciera hace más de dos semanas.
La plaza de la capital se llenó de norcoreanos que juraron lealtad al hijo del fallecido Kim Jong Il.
Con el puño en alto y profiriendo lemas, decenas de miles de norcoreanos llenaron este martes la principal plaza de la capital para jurar su lealtad al nuevo líder Kim Jong Un.
